Roman is the principal of Main Line Law Associates. He has practiced in Bryn Mawr since 1985, after spending his early years as Counsel in the Law Department of the Insurance Company of North America and the CIGNA International Law Department in Philadelphia.

Roman has been rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell for legal ability and ethics since 2003. He has been named a “Top Main Line Lawyer” for many years in both trust and estate work and real estate law. Roman is an invited Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary society comprised of less than one-half percent of all American attorneys, vigorously vetted for skills, expertise and service.

Unlike many attorneys today, Roman has practiced both transactional law and litigation, which allows him to bring a unique perspective and practical orientation to both structuring transactions and providing counsel in disputes. His experience at INA/CIGNA included such diverse areas as insurance policy drafting, regulatory matters, documenting the risk management and reinsurance programs of Fortune 500 companies, structuring agency arrangements, and transactions such as the sale of INA’s Beirut office to local Lebanese.

Since transitioning into private practice, Roman has been engaged in the areas of business, real estate, trusts and estates, and general civil litigation. He has represented clients in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts, the state appellate courts, the U.S. District Courts and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. His litigation experience includes the representation of plaintiffs in personal injury cases, construction defects and ERISA benefit cases, recovering millions of dollars for his clients over the years.

In most recent years, Roman’s practice has increasingly focused on the administration of trusts and estates and the litigation of disputes concerning the same.
